Abstract Poster Presentation Guidelines

Congratulations on having your Abstract and Poster selected for SPC 2019 World Congress!! Please read the following document to ensure your poster is presented appropriately: Poster Presentation Guidelines.


Abstract Information  – Submissions now closed! Thank you for applying. 

The Third World Congress of Sports Physical Therapy invites researchers, clinicians and trainees to submit their research for presentation. The scientific committee will judge abstracts based on scientific rigour, originality, clarity and clinical relevance.

The top 5 judged abstracts will present their research in a plenary session competition with questions from the editors-in-chief of 3 top clinical sports medicine journals. Prizes will be awarded for best-scoring abstracts.

Key dates:

March 1st 2019: Abstract submission OPEN!  Submit your abstract here.

May 10th 2019: Abstract submission deadline

June 14th 2019: Notification of decision sent to authors

We are proud to announce that all accepted abstracts will be published in the International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy! To be considered by the Scientific Committee, your abstract has to be maximum 2,000 characters long, including the following headers: Purpose, Methods, Results, Conclusion, Clinical implications. Abstracts that do not follow this format will be rejected without review. The link to the submission portal will be posted on this page when abstract submission begins on March 1st, 2019.

Abstracts will be reviewed by both researchers AND clinicians without research background. Points will be awarded for scientific rigor, originality, clarity and clinical relevance. The top 5 judged abstracts will compete in a plenary session competition at SPC 2019. Editors-in-chief of the International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy (IJSPT: Dr. Michael Voight), the Journal of Orthopedics and Sports Physical Therapy (JOSPT: Dr. Clare Ardern) and the British Journal of Sports Medicine (BJSM: Dr. Karim Khan) will determine the winner of the competition! All other accepted abstracts will be awarded a poster presentation.
