Rink Side Medical Volunteers Needed

Canadian Ringette Championship
Monday April 4 to Saturday April 9, 2022

Winsport and Seven Chiefs Arena

We are looking for rink side/ on-ice medical support for the upcoming National Ringette Championships.
Over 40 elite Ringette teams are coming from across Canada at the U16, U19 and National Ringette League level. These female athletes have missed the last two Nationals due to COVID and are very excited that it’s happening this year and in Calgary!
Duties would be to assist with injuries that occur during the tournament, all equipment needed will be supplied.
• Medical doctor/student
• Firefighter/first responder
• RN
• Ambulance training
• Athletic/physiotherapy
• Equivalency for any first aid course, seven (7) hours or more in duration, which includes the following content:

 Principles of first aid and safety
 Artificial respiration
 Wounds and bleeding, Shock, unconsciousness and fainting
 Fractures/ Head and spinal injuries
 Joint injuries/ Medical conditions – ie Asthma/ diabetes

We are looking for people to volunteer for one 3-4 hour shift (or more if able) over the course of the tournament .
