The Credential Program’s Certificate and Diploma examination process consists of four (4) parts:

  • Logbook evaluation approved by Mentor.
  • Application with supporting documentation.
  • Written examination component.
  • Oral/practical examination component.

Supporting documentation includes:

  2. Letter of recommendation from a Mentor
  3. Current Sport First Responder Certificate
  4. Completed application forms and fees

WRITTEN EXAMINATION COMPONENT

The written examination consists of a two-hour multiple choice examination. It tests the basic science knowledge as outlined in the curriculum objectives depending on the examination level being written. It is graded on a pass/fail basis.

The written examinations are conducted as locally as possible under the supervision of an approved Invigilator. The examinations are written nation-wide on the same day and time, with actual times for the examination set to reflect geographic location.

ORAL/PRACTICAL EXAMINATION COMPONENT

The Oral/Practical examination consists of three stations totalling not more than one hundred and five minutes (1 hour 45 minutes) for each candidate. It covers the content outlined in the curriculum objectives for either the Sport Physiotherapy Certificate or Diploma, depending on the level being evaluated. It is graded on a pass/fail basis.

The oral/practical examination can only be attempted after successful completion of the previous components. The candidate must pass the written examination and Oral/Practical examinations to earn the SPC Certificate or Diploma in Sport Physiotherapy.
