July 21, 2017

For the Jeux de la Francophonie, the three Canadian teams (Canada-New Brunswick, Canada-Québec and Canada) bring sport medical specialists to take care of their athletes and artists (i.e. physician, sport therapist, massoterapist, etc.) The next Jeux de la Francophonie will be in Côte d’Ivoire from July 21st to July 30th. Team Canada-New Brunswick has the opportunity to bring two people for their medical team.

Few months ago, a call for application was sent to different professional associations asking people if they were interested to be in that medical team (ex. CASEM-Canadian Academy of Sports and Exercise Medecine /ACMSE – Association canadienne de médecine du sport et de l’exercice). With all the efforts made to fill the positions, we still looking for one sport therapist from New Brunswick. I am asking you if it’s possible to share this information to your network in case you know an individual who would be interested in this great opportunity. If you do, please feel free to send their name to my attention before February 6. I will forward these names to the medical team selection committee.

Please note that team Canada-New Brunswick will cover the expenses for travelling and meals during the games. An honorarium will also be provided. This is a unique opportunity for sport medical specialists, they will have the chance to work with an awesome team and will increase their professional network with people across the country. Please note that the person does not need to be fully bilingual but should be able to understand and speak French.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me by email or at 506-444-2574.

Have a great day!
